BBF Rentals coordinates an on-campus sizing and gear fitting day for participating students, eliminating the need for students to travel off-site or figure out sizing on their own.

Our team arrives at your academy with multiple sizes of bunker coats, pants, boots, helmets, gloves, and other required PPE so each student can be properly fitted before their gear is issued.

During the sizing event, our team works individually with each participating student to:

• Determine appropriate coat and pant sizing and fit

• Size boots, helmets, gloves, and other PPE

• Make adjustments when needed for comfort and mobility

• Record each student's sizing information

• Confirm the student's rental package and program information

• Answer questions about their gear, rental period, care, and return process

By handling sizing directly on campus, BBF helps academies create a more organized and consistent process while making it easier for students to get properly fitted and prepared for training.

BBF returns to your academy to issue each participating student their properly fitted rental gear.

Using the sizing information collected during the on-campus fitting, our team prepares each student’s rental package in advance and returns to the academy for a coordinated gear issue day.

Each student receives their assigned PPE, and our team verifies fit and condition before the gear is released.

During Gear Issue Day, BBF:

• Issues each student their individually prepared rental package

• Rechecks coat, pant, boot, helmet, and glove fit

• Makes sizing adjustments or exchanges when needed

• Reviews the condition of the gear with the student

• Confirms all rented items have been received

• Reviews basic gear care, rental responsibilities, and return requirements

• Helps resolve any sizing or equipment concerns before training begins

Our team returns to the academy to collect student rental gear, verify each package, document equipment condition, and prepare the turnout gear for professional servicing.

Through our partnered ISP network, BBF coordinates the full post-class servicing process, including:

• On-campus gear collection and check-in

• Complete rental package verification

• Professional cleaning and decontamination

• Advanced turnout gear inspections

• Identification of necessary repairs

• Approved repairs and maintenance

• Removal of damaged or unserviceable equipment

• Preparation of gear for the next academy class

BBF’s on-campus servicing program isn’t limited to student rental gear. Through our partnered ISP network, we can also coordinate professional servicing for academy-owned and instructor turnout gear during the same scheduled service period.

Academy and instructor PPE can be collected alongside the student rental fleet for:
