Gear Care Tips

Your gear will get wet, sweaty, and dirty during training — that’s normal.

After class, take your gear out of the bag and let it air dry in a clean, shaded area with good airflow.

Keep the gear opened up as much as possible so moisture can escape.

Do not leave wet gear packed away, in a closed vehicle, in direct sunlight, or near high heat.

Proper drying helps prevent odor, mildew, and unnecessary damage.

Glove Drying Tip

To help gloves air-dry, place a clean, empty water bottle or Gatorade bottle inside each glove with the cap removed. This helps keep the glove open so air can move through it. For better airflow, poke a few small holes in the bottom of the bottle and place the gloves near a fan in a shaded, well-ventilated area.

Do not use heat, direct sunlight, or a dryer. Let the gloves air-dry naturally.
